Extreme rules last night was with lot of action. The main match for the World Heavy Weight Championship was the match everyone was waiting for. The vast majority of the match actually took place outside the ring.

The crowd spent most of the start of the match running through anti-Reigns chants, but it did not take long for the action to take over and those jeers to subside.

As we have seen last few week, Anderson and Gallows interfered again and knocked out Reigns before The Usos entered to wipe the ring out, hit Styles with two superkicks and then nail a frog splash. Reigns knocked Anderson and Gallows out with consecutive Superman Punches.

The finish was ultimately a clean one as Styles attempted to take advantage of Reigns’ situation with his Phenomenal Forearm, which Reigns caught in mid-air to deliver a thunderous spear and retained his title.

Seth Rollins made a shocking return to WWE at the conclusion of Extreme Rules, attacking WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns following the champion’s successful title defense against AJ Styles.

Rollins, who has been out of action since Nov. 4, 2015, when he was sidelined with a knee injury, slid into the ring behind the back of the celebrating champion, kicked him in the gut and nailed him with a Pedigree. He then picked up the WWE World Heavyweight Title and held the prize high above his head.

The former WWE World Heavyweight Champion, who was forced to vacate the title due to his injury, did not say anything, but his intentions were clear — he wants the championship back.
